First Watson's not a "sidekick". He's the writer, the narrator, and creates a necessary balance without which the Holmes stories really could not exist. Lawrence Albert's Watson is as good or better than any Watsons I've seen or heard on scores of other pastiches and parodies. As an actor, I think Watson is the most challenging role to play. Doyle has given an actor everything needed to play Holmes--you'd have to be pretty incompetent to screw up Holmes (Well if you're short and pudgy radio is the only place you can play Holmes, of course. Watson on the other hand, must connect in much more visceral way with the audience, obviously be less flamboyant, and yet be just as intriguing as Holmes in his own way. He's the one who must draw the listner in and reflect the listner's admiration and wonder plus add a lot of the humor. Albert does all that and more.

I really like Dr. Watson but Murphy really looks out for Harry, half of the time not getting paid for it.

How could anyone not like Adrea? She is bossy and yet loving.

The others are fine, but Andrea is the one who seems to have more "life" in the character and thus is more interesting.

Murphy and Dr. Watson are both great, but Murphy gets my vote. Murphy is perfect for Harry.

Shelly Mars is the best sidekick but Murphy is a close runner up.

I really don't have a favorite. I like all the shows to varying degrees and all the recurring characters in them.

Adrea by far is my choice for favorite sidekick. I love her spunk, in a way she reminds me of Lois Lane...She is a Lois Lane for Egyptian times.

Murphy, Watson, Murphy, Watson ?!? I love Murph cuz "Girl Power" rules. (OK, OK) But Larry Albert's Watson (plus the fact that his character is not written as an old fogey) is fantastic. :)
