Tough choices: I enjoy Harry Nile, Sherlock Holmes, and Raffles the Gentleman Thief. However, my real favorites were the Louis L'Amour series. Another interesting note: Although Harry is "winning" this pole, he is winning by more votes than decided the 2008 Minnesota Senate race between Norm Coleman and Al Franken!

I've been a Harry Nile fan for 35 years. I've also enjoyed Hilary Cain, Raffles, Holmes & Watson, Mr. Darnborough. Became a radio theatre fan when as a kid listening in the early 1970's, using my green globe Sony transistor radio, I tune into KVI around 7pm to listen to radio plays. Today, my children (4 & 7) use Harry Nile and Imagination Theatre as an excuse to stay up passed their bed-time.

Harry Nile is my favorite, but powder river and raffles are a close second !!!!!

I picked my favorite mystery but I have to say I really enjoy Raffles. The way the question was asked only allowed for a "favorite." I'd hate to think the answers would be interpreted as not liking the likable thief.

I've been listening to Jim French for over twenty years, since I first found JF on the AM dial when I lived in Seattle. Crisis was unbelievably good and I still remember the first time I heard Harry Nile. It's funny but I knew what Phil Harper looked like, yet when I heard Harry Nile, his voice told me that he was a 6'4 220lb hard-boiled tough guy and Pat French will forever be young and beautiful. Of the current crop of shows, Kincaid and Raffles stand out. I think that Dennis Bateman is great to listen to, but even more fun to watch at the recording sessions. But if I had to pick one show, it would be Sherlock Holmes with John Gilbert. I can't think of any show in radio history as good as those.

bought the flash drives last year and loved them. I wish you had the complete collections on them, it gets complicated with the CD sets trying to stay up

Kincaid is my favorite simply because it is set in modern times, and is usually funny too. Harry Nile is a close second, his are best to listen to in order (great gift idea - History of Harry Nile on CD.)

We sail in NW Canada/WA area in July/August and in the southern Bahamas Jan.-April. We love listening to Harry Nile and Sherlock Holmes both. We don't have satellite TV, so XM radio is our link to the world. We often go where we don't get internet so our listening to XM radio shows is our entertainment. Our 11 &12 yr old grandsons go with us & they are addicted to Harry and Sherlock too. Thank you so much for airing them. Someday we hope to get to your studio in Kirkland, WA.

I like all the Shows, but Harry Nile is my favorite. I also like the Powder River Series a lot.
