P.S. I really liked the opening theme with the projector. That was by far my favorite of the 3 that I've heard.

I enjoy all the series - some more than others, but all are excellent. I think the casting of Sherlock Holmes is shall I say; supuerb? While Basil Rathbone is still my overall favorite radio Holmes, I.T.'s cast is my favorite of the modern era. Lawrence Albert's portrayal is fairly similar to the Jeremy Brett TV series, which is exactly how I would picture Watson to be. I think Mr. Lowry is top-notch, and even better than the modern-era BBC Holmes. My only request on some of the Holmes is a touch of AVC (automatic volume control) - some dialogue (of intended regular level) will be peak, but then the rest really low, making it kind of difficult to understand some of the dialogue without cranking the volume. Ziv's Boston Blackie tended to do the same thing, except it was generally sound effects that would be peak. Per the stories, very imaginative and well-written, and also well-acted. I look forward to all Sherlock Holmes. I do tend to enjoy the new storylines the best.

Bryan Thanks fort he kind words on Watson. I think that if you like the way I do you'll enjoy hearing Michael Williams in the role opposite Clive Merrison as Holmes. The shows are fom the BBC and are my personal favorites (outside of our own of course.)

Well, I'm gonna throw my two cents worth in on this. I'm an XM listener. Way to go Larry on standing up for Powder River. I thouroughly enjoy and have to listened to all the episodes repeatedly. It needs to be looked at in context, it is entertainment, people. Give it a rest. I was born in 1963. Too late for the Golden Age of Radio. However, I cut my radio drama teeth on Hyram Brown's CBS Radio Mystery Theater. Every night, I stayed up late to see what kind of story E.G. Marshall was going to introduce. What great radio that was. Now, for important stuff, I'm a huge fan of both Harry Nile and Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. I can identify with Harry. Nuff said there. For the first time, I have heard Dr. Watson portrayed in the way I always felt he should be. Not a bumbling, doddering old man. But, a vital man who has seen some of the worst life has to offer during his service in Afghanistan and has come out the other side a better man for it. This version of Watson is the perfect counterpoint to an excellent version of Holmes. Thanks for the great programs. I hope to hear more new episodes on Book Radio in the near future.

I'm with Vinnie - I enjoy the Sherlock Holmes greatly. Exciting music, good plots, great acting. It seems like a updated, improved extension of Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. However, there is something especially appealing about the character of Harry Nile, particularly as acted by Phil Harper. If I had to pick just one, I'd go with Harry

I am a big fan of the old time radio shows. I was born in 1968, so I don't really know about the golden age of radio, but Harry Nile seems to be the closest to that era of shows. Kincaid is my second favorite tied with with movies for your mind. I have been listening to JFP as long as they have been on the air - and I am still a dedicated listener even though there is not a radio staion in my area. Thank goodness for the internet!!! Keep up the great work.

This was a tough choice. I am a long time Sherlock Holmes fan and love all the Sherlock Holmes episodes (and anything Holmes related) BUT I LOVE Harry Nile. To ask to choose between the two is like asking which one of your children is your favorite one!! I look forward to Harry Nile and REALLY enjoy those shows also. I like them about the same. Raffles and Kincaid are great too as well as the other character shows.

While I enjoy them all to varying degrees, except for Raithe, the New Adventures of Sherlock Holmes would have to be my favorite. I really, really, like Hilary Caine and Raffles, and I like Harry Nile. I can take Kincaid in small doses. Kincaid has flashes of brilliance - I really liked the Green Man, which seems to have been inspired from the Tom Mix storyline of the same name. I'd like to hear more Kerides, as well. If I were forced to prioritize it, I'd say my favorites in order are Holmes, Raffles, Hilary Caine, Harry Nile, Kerides, Kincaid, Powder River. Powder River isn't a mystery show, but it's much better than Louis L'Amour, and it can be a really fun series at time. I've listened to almost every one. Towards the end, the most likable characters were killed off, and it's gone into reruns. I am a long-time subscriber, and I am happy to continue supporting new radio dramas.

Wow... Mike, I am a grateful American who wishes your nephew miracles in rehab! God bless him and all his family for their sacrifice and all who sacrifice to ensure our freedom and safety! This is not a trivial issue to be made lightly of. Dave, try using the on/off option on your audio device when you hear things that don't please you. And to all @ Imagination Theater and Colonial Radio Theatre, keep doing what you are doing so well. Thank you.
