I heard "Bag of money" on 760kfmb a couple weeks ago which made me search out the the first 3 volumes of Harry Nile. I'd mainly been interested in suspense-horror stuff but Harry will be my Neo-OTR Detective.

And if anyone knows, does the little jazzy instrumental used in the show have a name?

That is so seriously cool that Harry Nile himself answered my first post. Thank you! Really enjoy you, sir.

I guess Harry's theme is "Marlowe's Theme" on that soundtrack. Just bought it off Itunes. Think I'll check out the Robert Mitchum pictures too.

Bit of an update, I'm already caught up on volumes 1-20 of the History of Harry Nile. War Comes To Harry Nile is a seperate volume not in the history sets though correct? Then I guess it'll be that and vol. 21 and then onto the new adventures with you, Larry.

I really dig Raffles and Kincaid too.

I play Harry in the War Comes to Harry Nile stories. Jm thought it would be fun to go back and do some plays set during the war years. He hadn't done many when Phil was in the role.

Marlowe's Theme, from the movie "Farewell My Lovely", from a Leif "Smoke Rings" Anderson record.

Hi Miss Nile,
As Larry wrote, David Shire composed “Farewell, My Lovely”, and lots of other scores for stage, screen & television. His Wikipedia entry says he has conducted many orchestras. Amazon has his recordings in both CD and MP3 formats, and you can play samples. It is a very catchy melody – I may buy it myself!
