| The preview write-up for this double-length Holmes sounds intriguing. I love Dan McGachey's evocation of Victoriana so I'm really looking forward to hearing how he handles Holmes and Watson. |

Great! We know they're the sort of thing you can only do very occasionally but they're so much fun to write. |

Thanks, Iain (the cheque's in the post)! I'm looking forward to hearing it, too, because even though I wrote the script, the Imagination Theatre guys always manage to surprise me with something in the performances, direction and production, so it always sounds fresh to me.
Looking forward to your and Claire's take on "The Mummy" - Egyptian intrigue's nothing new to you after your "Doctor Who" debut, is it? |

dan we've made a few changes in the Voice in the Smoke. It's now called The Voice Who Smoked and its about a cigarette salesman who's a cross dresser and moonlight s as a private detective. _________________ Larry Albert |

| Don't worry, Larry, that was just a scurrilous rumor put around by the late Professor Moriarty - a story for which the world is not prepared, to be sure. |

Just listened to "The Voice In The Smoke."
(I receive the Imagination Theatre CDs through my weekly I. T. subscription
a few days before it is broadcast.)
A wonderful job by all involved in the project!!!
Great script by Daniel.
It think "The Voice In The Smoke" is a story that Sir Arthur would have wished he had written.
Marvelous acting by the John and Larry and the guest actors.
Larry, you did an excellent job of editing to fit the story into the Imagination Theatre time slot.
It definitely has me wanting to hear the full version.
I will be buying at least 3 copies of the Full Version when it becomes available.
It will make a great Christmas Gift for two friends who are Sherlock Holmes fans.
Signing off for now, |

Hi, Stewart. Many, many thanks for your kind words about the script. I was very aware when I was writing the original short story which I based it on that the subject matter was one very dear to Sir Arthur's heart, therefore not one to be mocked or taken lightly, so it's very heartening to hear from a fellow fan the notion that Holmes's creator might have approved.
All the best,
Dan |
